Coming from a farming town, I was puzzled to find “white” eggs when we moved to the city! Farm fresh eggs are brown and sometimes covered with little surprises…

    Great comic, BTW!

As one cartoonist to another I’m sure you’ll understand that using white eggs is more recognizable to the average reader than a poop covered brown egg. All though that is a whole new joke. I didn’t think to have brown chickens until the very last second so I got some of it right. Thanks for the comment.

My bad! I wasn’t saying you should have drawn them brown! Sorry! Nope, just silly me passing along my farm days and I can see I worded it poorly now.

Nope, love it the way it is. Yeah, “city folk” are not very happy with “natural” eggs at all… :)

I grew up in Iowa….but I admit I didn’t get to the farm much. Your comment was well received and not taken offense to. I personally bleach all my eggs white before I eat them…it makes me feel fuzzy.

That’s exactly the same problem as so many Americans. Diversify, diversify, that’s the investment mantra forever. You gave it a good spin with the fearful chicken. Plus, there are brown eggs from brown chickens. Some Iowan you are!

Hey…I spent my childhood and all of high school studying social studies…no time to study the fine art of egg colors. Which came first the brown chicken or the brown egg?
