I just joined Twitter.com.  I’m not sure I understand what I’m supposed to do, but I heard about twitter from the podcast Gigcast which is about webcomics.  My understanding so far is that its like the “status” part of facebook without all the applications.  Dont’ get me wrong I enjoy facebook a lot, but I am curious on what twitter can bring.  Let me know if you are on twitter…I’ll send you an invite.
